Playing with the gallery space within a classroom where I worked throughout my college years, I turned the clean backdrop for exhibition purposes into a work by itself that allows viewers to interact with the space and others in a new manner beyond their position as observers. The strings cross through the stools with the point light directed toward them; the stage is set for interactions. Four viewers sit on the stools with the blinding lights as they are drawn to the central twine ball, the first focus. While looking at the twine ball, the four viewers will inevitably look into each other, who is lit by the point light, the second focus in the space. There then created invisible strings of relation within the space that are connected through not only physical strings but also the tension between each viewer. The gallery space is then activated as a whole, where everything is tangibly and intangibly connected.
